Hope Event with Ken Freeman

Need Hope? Make plans to attend this life-changing event with Ken Freeman on Feb 5th-8th.

Ken Freeman will bring a message of hope and share with you how you can change your mess into a message.

January 1st Worship Services

On January 1st FBC Lake will offer two worship opportunities. Both services will include the same sermon, but will have different worship styles. Why? FBC Lake is currently searching for a Minister of Music, but in the meantime we are blessed to have numerous gifted individuals in our church family. Some are gifted in a traditional worship style and others are gifted in contemporary worship style. As a result, we want to utilize the gifted individuals God has given FBC Lake. During the 8:45am service you can come experience contemporary worship in the new multi-purpose room. During the 11:00am service you can experience traditional worship in the Sanctuary.

Child-Care:

During the 8:45am service families with children are invited to attend the service together. Tables with chairs are positioned across the back of the room so families with children can spread out and enter/exit the room as needed.

During the 11am service nursery will be provided for birth through 3years old.

Prayer Calendar and Prayer Guide

What is four for four?

Four for Four is the prayer emphasis at FBC Lake in preparation for the Ken Freeman Event on February 5-8, 2017. Each individual in the Church is encouraged to gather with at least two other individuals/families four times during January 2017 and pray through four prayer points. We know God will bring a great harvest and we know that by prayerful preparation He will also bring a great revival to the life of each believer.

how can you participate?

You can take part in Four for Four in one of two ways.

  1. First, you can download the “Four for Four Prayer Guide” (provided below), call at least two other individuals/families, invite them to your home on four occasions during the month of January, and during those gatherings pray through the four pray points.
  2. Another option, if you are unable to organize a prayer group or uncomfortable hosting a group in your home, is to join with pre-scheduled gatherings. Below is the “Four for Four Calendar” and it contains a list of homes and times when groups will gather for prayer. The listings below are provided for anyone interested in taking part in a prayer group. If you want to attend any of the pre-scheduled groups, all you have to do is show up. No RSVP or call is needed.

Below are downloadable files for the “Four for Four Calendar” and “Four for Four Prayer Guides”.

Acts Sermon Series

image1-5

First Baptist Church Lake is currently working through the New Testament book of Acts during the regular worship services. Whether you are new to the Bible or a lifelong student of the Bible will enjoy and grow through the preaching/teaching approach of Pastor Scott. During the Sunday 11am service Pastor Scott preaches from the text by emphasizing thematic elements and offering inspiration and instruction for life. During the Sunday 5pm service Pastor Scott teaches through the same passage by analyzing historical and scholarly features of the text. Pastor Scott’s philosophy for preaching is to focus on one text each week so the hearer has the best opportunity to understand God’s Word.
